ACCOMMODATION

  1. The Coimbatore campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, the venue for INDICON2018, is about 30 km away from the city, on the way to Palakkad (Kerala).
  2. Limited accommodation, of various types, is available on campus and is offered to the delegates of the Conference, on a strictly first-come first-served basis.
  3. The rates charged for the various types of accommodation are shown in the Table below. Please note that all rates shown are per person per day and do NOT include boarding. More information will be found on the ticketing site. Please note that if there are any discrepancies in the rates shown here and on the tickets, the latter may be taken as correct.

  1. Booking of accommodation is to be done through the same process as that for registration. The link for clicking through to reserve accommodation is given below.
  2. You will need to complete the process of registering for INDICON2018, before reserving your accommodation, as you will be required to input the ticket number of your Conference registration.
  3. The tariff indicated above is only for lodging. For all hostel accommodation, a cot with mattress and pillow will be provided. You are required to bring your own sheets, pillow case and blanket. Note that the weather in Ettimadai during December can be pleasantly cold, especially at night. You are also required to bring your own lock and key.
  4. Please note that the first two categories of accommodation are not for students. For purposes of reserving accommodation, any person using a ticket issued under a student registration will be treated as a student.
  5. Please note that the Amrita campus is strictly vegeterian. Non-vegeterian food can neither can be brought in nor consumed on campus. All delegates to the Conference are requested to maintain this discipline, for the duration of the conference.
  6. Use and possession of all kinds of tobacco products, alcohol, intoxicating material / drugs / narcotics are strictly banned on campus. Any one found intoxicated / violating this rule will be summarily expelled from the campus and will not be allowed to return.
  7. You might be subject to random checks at the campus entrance, by the Security staff. Please understand that this is not personal and is part of the standard security protocol followed on campus. We request you to kindly cooperate. In case of any issues, you can contact the Conference Secretariat. The contact numbers of the Coordinators will be shared with you, closer to the date of the conference.
  8. For reasons of their own safety, due to the scarcity of transport from the city, all delegates are requested to be back in the campus, by 2300hrs.
  9. All delegates are requested to keep this green and verdant campus, litter and plastic-free.
